MTrec Technical are proudly representing our prestigious Engineering client, based in Tyne and Wear, with their plans for growth and expansion, by recruiting a permanent Electrical Design to join their team.
They will be soon entering a period of sustainedgrowth and expansion and require an Electrical Design Engineer to facilitate their development.

The Job You'll Do;
- To be an operational member of the electrical design team to ensure systems are delivered on time and to specification.
- Design Electrical Schematics, Preferably in EPLAN (Others are considered)
- Create electrical schematics that show how electrical components and panels work together to accomplish a process
- Produce layout drawings of the given plan, components and devices.
- Component specification and verification in accordance with operating environment
- Produce and modify bill of materials
- Support onsite installation requirements
- Understand construction or production methods and processes
- Examine existing drawings and doublecheck them for reliability and manufacturability
- Be involved with continuous improvement and design standardization
- Updating Engineering drawings to ensure as built data is captured or to include changes and/or enhancements
- Help design products with engineering and manufacturing techniques
- Liaise with other engineers and shop floor technicians to ensure system requirements are met
- Specify dimensions, materials, and procedures for new products with support from engineering
- Support project specific Safety documentation to relevant standard requirements; IEC61508, EN ISO 1384
- Prepare documentation for the system's intended use as well as any safety related instructions
- Write and Document Systems & Produce system Electrical FDS
- Create necessary system calculations
- Power requirements, IS circuit calculations etc.
- Assist with technical files and data books including technical files and customer specific quality documentation
- Support operation and maintenance manuals/documentation
- Liaise with the Quality department to ensure documentation is completed for a system within a timely manner
- Provide ongoing technical support to users within the company and outside customers, both verbally and by writing
- Support the service team to review technical queries and resolve issues
- Support the continuous improvement program
About You;
- Possess knowledge of Electrical Engineering & Standards (essential)
- Have at least a HND/Degree in electrical engineering or relevant experience (min 5 years) in a relevant field
- Must have a strong understanding of the electrical software engineering principles
- Draw and interpret Flow diagrams (Visio etc)
- Have good foresight and strong analytical thinking skills that allow you to troubleshoot and avoid problems.
- Be computer literate and able to use a wide range of software packages
- Take reasonable care of the health and safety of themselves and of others who may be affected by what they do or do not do.
- Cooperate with the employer on health and safety matters.
- Not misuse any equipment that is provided for safety purposes.
- Follow instructions from the employer on health and safety matters and attend relevant health and safety training.
- Report hazards and defects observed in the workplace.
- Comply with the company Code of Ethics and standards.
