Etex are on the lookout for a Factory Supervisor to join the Remagin team

Leeds, Cross Green Lane

What you'll do:


You will be responsible for the supervision of factory production operations in order to meet planned deadlines, ensuring teams are aligned and motivated to deliver projects on time and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities Include but are not Limited to:

  • Deputising for Plant Manager where required.
  • Supervision of production area, assisting Plant Manager in delivery of projects against the project plan.
  • Identify problems early and ensure key resolution actions are implemented, assigned ownership and followed up.
  • Develop and provide daily reports of factory operations to SLTs.
  • Create and issue daily tasks and targets and monitor team progress against these targets.
  • Take an active role in controlling robust corrective actions and problemsolving activities in order to meet project deadlines.
  • First line team management including conflict resolution, team behaviours and minor disciplinary matters.
  • Identify operator training to ensure adequate manning levels are achieved in order to meet project targets, including recruitment of new employees where required.
  • Attend joint operations meetings with other Remagin factories, contributing to building a culture of sharing best practice.
  • Build and maintain productive relationships with all support departments, particularly design and contracts departments to ensure projects can be delivered.
  • Lead Continuous Improvement activities and discussions and implement identified improvements.
  • Comply with and actively implement all required EHS policies, ensuring staff work in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Control of, and adherence to, all required quality standards.
  • Maintain exceptional housekeeping standards.
  • Monitor, control and minimise waste.

  • Ability to strategically manage operations for maximum effectiveness and project delivery.
  • Continually address challenges, own actions and follow up.
  • Ability to successfully manage / influence across peers and leaders to obtain the resources, materials and support required.
  • Management/supervisory experience in production/manufacturing demonstrating strong leadership and management skills.
  • Demonstrable understanding of health and safety responsibilities in the production environment.
  • An understanding of lean manufacturing processes.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing quality standards.
  • Effective communication skills engages team and peer groups.
  • The ability to communicate clearly with staff at all levels.
  • Good presentation skills.

  • Good problemsolving skills.
