Description
Are you organised and great with data? A new opportunity has arisen for a detail-orientated individual to support the Inventory Management team as Inventory Assistant on a permanent basis.
The business area : The Inventory Management team collaborates with colleagues within Publishing Operations and across Sales, Production, Finance, and our Publishing Houses to maintain the correct stock levels for every one of our titles throughout their lifecycle. The team plays a critical role in managing relationships with our distribution colleagues and our external partners to ensure the efficient distribution of our books.

What you'll bring : We are looking for a team player who can multi-task whilst maintaining attention to detail, and who is keen to develop and nourish their logistical skills. You will need to work well under pressure to meet deadlines and be able to prioritise your workload effectively. You must be able to demonstrate a high level of competency with Excel, and you will need the ability to quickly learn new systems and processes as you'll be working with Biblio and SAP.
We love what we do, so an interest in our stories and how Inventory fits within our business is highly desirable, and so is an eagerness to work with data. However, this is an entry level role; we'll teach you all you need to know so you don't need publishing experience.
About Penguin : We're the UK's largest publisher; made up of some 2,000 people and publishing over 1,500 books each year. Our doors are open to all kinds of talent. In a constantly evolving industry, we work hard to stretch the definition of the word publisher. Here, you'll work with a breadth of talent who all play their part to make each of our books a success. Together, we make books for everyone because a book can change anyone.
How to apply: Please apply with your CV and Cover Letter by 23:59 on Thursday 23rd May.
Salary: £27,500 plus bonus and benefits.
