About the Company:

Our client is a leading chemical manufacturer specializing in the production of explosives for both commercial and defense sectors.

Location:

This position is based in Stevenston, situated along the coast just South of Glasgow.

Role Overview:

• Conduct analysis of raw materials, intermediates, and final products to ensure compliance with company and customer specifications, maintaining a clear audit trail.
• Offer expert technical advice on the properties of non-energetic and energetic substances, adhering to HSE regulations.
• Design and scale up innovative energetic materials based on literature studies.
• Validate energy materials and formulations to meet safety and performance criteria.
• Introduce new technologies and lab equipment for testing and validation purposes.
• Provide data on energetic materials to support new product introductions to manufacturing operations.
• Plan and execute material development programs.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in a Chemical-related field.
- Proficient in synthetic chemistry.
- Knowledge of hazardous substance handling and disposal.
- Experience in laboratory testing of materials and energetics.
- Familiarity with COSHH regulations.
