Locations


National team roles can be linked with any Natural England office while Area Team roles will be linked with an office in the relevant geographic area.


The Team


The Evidence Services Team provides scientific and evidence leadership, services and support to help Natural England operate as an evidence-led organisation.

The Team provides access to evidence and services to others in Natural England; particularly the management of a range of evidence projects and a range of data and analytical services.

We lead work to implement our Monitoring Strategy and develop new approaches and tools. We also provide evaluation, capability building, communications and programme management functions for the organisation's Science & Evidence Programme.


Agri Environment Evidence Programme


The Agri Environment Evidence Programme runs a series of annual and multi-annual projects in collaboration with Defra, to assess, monitor and evaluate Natural England's agri environmental interventions.

These range from large, national macro projects to specialist led thematic projects and surveys.

The team have both a top down and bottom up approach to identifying the projects they commission through external contracts.

As an evidence based, science led organisation the outputs of the agri environment evidence team's work is crucial in guiding and underpinning the success of Defra's agri environmental interventions going forward.


The Evidence Services Team co-ordinates and leads Natural England's Agri Environment Evidence Programme as part of the Greener Farming and Fisheries Programme.
