Front of House Officer / Concierge


Based:
London (SW7)


Hours:
Monday - Friday days only - 08:00 to 18: hours per week


Pay Rate:
£13.00 per hour

Overview:

The primary role is to exceed expectations for delivering outstanding service while creating a welcoming environment for the occupiers.

The role is key to the operation of the building as it creates an excellent first and last impression to all occupiers and external stakeholders.


Responsibilities and Duties:


  • Act as daytoday point of contact for occupiers / stakeholders
  • Meet and greet guests offering high standards of service
  • Arranging cover for any adhoc overnight works for approval with Facilities Coordinator


  • Management of Contractors

  • On site contractor management signing in / out, key management, booking all site works, liaising and, issuing permits to work (via Compliance System)
  • Ensuring site is secured by managing all access control systems, keys, external /internal area checks including doors, windows, terraces, plant rooms and risers
  • Additional daily operations:
  • Issue access cards, monitor and manage databases
  • Monitor CCTV
  • Management of all post room duties
  • Control site access visitors, contractors, and occupiers
  • Waste Management reporting missed collections, cleaning issues/defects etc
  • Undertake daily site inspections and report back to Facilities Supervisor via Compliance System
  • Reporting any breaches of site rules / leases / tenancy agreements
  • Supporting Facilities Coordinator with Tenant Engagement Activities i.e. site walk arounds
  • Assist with all Occupier Fit Out Works and ensuring all common areas and lifts are protected and any defects / damage is reported via the correct methods
  • Management of cleaning standards of the internal and external fabric of the building
  • Report any Health and Safety issues directly to the Facilities Supervisor
  • Ensuring vacant floors are locked and all services to these floors are dormant (assisting with energy management)
  • Securing site by managing all access control, external and internal area checks including doors, windows and terraces responding to (but not limited to)
  • All fire alarms and related emergencies
  • Bomb alerts and all other types of related emergencies
  • All other types of incidents (e.g. floods, gas leaks, defective lifts etc.)
  • Intruders and other crimerelated incidents
  • Selfconfidence and an interest in selfdevelopment. The post holder must show interest in self progression and demonstrate the ability to be manage and take responsibility / ownership of the building they are based at
  • You should have the ability to work unsupervised and keep good organisation of daily workload in line with site requirements
  • Officers must have the Security Industry Training Organisation basic qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Carry and be capable or using all security equipment necessary to efficiently perform the duties required of a professional security officer.

Training

  • Officers must undergo 2 days on site training

Aptitudes and attitudes

  • Must have good literacy and communication skills and have excellent verbal and written English
  • Possess a good telephone manner
  • Be computer literate, proficient with Microsoft

Personal attributes

  • A consistently smart appearance in the uniform provided and required by Unitrust
  • Reliability, energetic, selfmotivation, and ability to use own initiative and work without supervision. Be able to cope with times of little or no actively
  • Excellent punctuality, as you will be responsible for opening the building up each day and lockdown each evening unless out of hours cover have been arranged
  • The ability, tact and diplomacy to deal with people at all levels including the client, the client's staff and visitors in all circumstances including emergencies and other times of stress
  • An excellent level of physical fitness to enable the post holder to perform patrols and emergency response duties efficiently and effectively.
