Role:


Working within this flagship building and prestigious environment in the City of London your primary role is to ensure the security of people, premises, and property, protecting the reputation of the client/tenants throughout.

You will support the delivery of a truly exceptional customer journey for both staff and visitors. To achieve this, you will be/become well versed in the processes and practices of a Security professional. Excellence in customer service will be at the heart of the role. You will be part of a well drilled security operation.


To ensure synergy across our service providers, we work with a 'one team' approach to successfully deliver an excellent customer journey so in this role you will work closely with catering, cleaning, maintenance, and Front of House teams in order to provide an environment which is welcoming and relaxed yet safe and secure at all times.


Responsibilities:


  • Deliver outstanding customer service to staff and visitors
  • Take a active interest in, and give commitment to the client and tenants
  • Ensure that the environment and service is truly excellent and beyond expectation
  • Promote the client, tenants other service providers positively to all you come in to contact with, throughout the customer journey
  • Be flexible ad adaptable to all tasks or challenges
  • Be highly presentable, accountable; take responsibility and ownership for any tasks identified or allocated

  • Appropriate use of CCTV/access control and any other electronic management system, and completion of reports and documentation in a timely fashion.

Security specific responsibilities:


  • Welcome ad assist staff, clients, tenants, and visitors to the premises in a warm and courteous fashion maintaining excellence as a standard throughout the customer journey
  • Conduct thorough building patrols internal and external.
  • Ensuring that no unauthorised persons are permitted in prohibited areas
  • Check identity and credentials of staff, contractors and visitors where required
  • Work with all colleagues to ensure the integrity of security on the site
  • Rotation on different posts
  • Respond to alarms
  • Key Control
  • Record details of ay suspected criminal activity on the premises (internal and external); commencing investigative procedures prior to onward reporting where necessary.
  • Develop and intain positive relationships with all staff, visitors, tenants, service providers and clients

Building Culture:


  • Actively promote the building and support with onsite viewings where required.
  • Monitor and report on feedback received through engaging with occupiers.
  • Actively engage with tenants, seek feedback, and support their operations.
  • Drive collaboration within all service providers (Reception, cleaning, and maintenance).
  • Your approach at all times must be positive, caring, enthusiastic and engaging, always aspiring to be the best at what we do at 20 Gracechurch.
  • Build strong and trusting relationships with each tenant.
  • Oversee ad undertake other activities as required to enhance the corporate social responsibility efforts of 20 Gracechurch Street.
  • Assist Building Management and Operations Manager to develop our Customer Strategy for 20 Gracechurch and tailor services where appropriate to improve customer journey.

  • Resilient and calm under pressure with the ability to multitask and prioritise to help solve problems and overcome challenges

  • Physically able to conduct all responsibilities associated with the roles documented
  • Computer literate ad confident with the use of Microsoft Office programmes
  • Current and valid SIA license
  • First Aid at work or the ability to train and retain this qualification
  • Operation of CCTV/access control communications in an appropriate manner

Desirable Skills:


  • Exposure to relevant Protective Security or Counter Terrorism Advice
  • Previous experience of the security industry and / or within the hospitality sector or corporate environment.
  • Previous experience in technologies to detect security threats in any given environment
