Role Overview:


Finder is an award-winning comparison site and our independent reviews of credit cards and loans are among the best in the UK.

That's because of our expert writers and leading publishing technology.


This role reports to the UK editor-in-chief and works closely with the credit and loans publisher, who commissions the content.

It's based in our London office.


Responsibilities:


You'll be our go-to expert on credit and loans, and will be responsible for the quality of our content, including ratings, reviews and guides on this topic.

You'll have great contacts and a deep understanding of trends and developments, so you're able to spot new opportunities for content.

You'll also be skilled at using spreadsheets.


You will:

  • Write and edit onbrand reviews, guides and longer features that all beat our competition's content
  • Make our content useful and interesting so users can make a decision and take an action
  • Ensure copy is accurate, concise and compliant
  • Lead an innovative, crossdepartmental programme for the UK business, which will be based on your skills and expertise
  • Get inside the minds of our readers to ensure content ranks highly in search engines and compels people to click
  • Work with our publishers and writers to make unfamiliar topics interesting and easy to understand so readers can't help but finish reading.
  • Stay abreast of industry news and market changes and trends to inform our editorial priorities and approach to new content.
  • Help to shape our content strategy and content planning
  • Be able to deputise for the editorinchief

Desired Experience and Skills:


  • You have a degree from a leading university or equivalent professional experience.
  • You're comfortable turning complicated topics into content the average reader would understand quickly.
  • You're skilled at editing the work of more junior writers and giving them feedback.
  • You're intellectually curious and want to try new approaches to making content sing.
  • You have a good understanding of financial compliance.
  • You know your way around online resources including SEO tools.
  • You're skilled at using data and spreadsheets.
