Description
Contract to start on until with a possible extension.


To support the asbestos database officers located within the Asbestos Team to type up reports, upload reports onto the database and create management plans.

To carry out other related tasks

To maintain and update asbestos information onto the asbestos database, management plans, audit trails and council property folders.

This includes information from asbestos surveys, remediation works, re-inspection surveys, in addition to processing and distributing information to accommodate all requests.

To produce and dispatch reports following asbestos surveys and inspections.


To ensure that information and updates regarding asbestos surveys and works, etc., are kept up to date in line with department deadlines.


To liaise with relevant areas of the council as appropriate to ensure that requests and changes to the corporate asbestos database are actioned as appropriate.

Provide administrative assistance to the Asbestos team

To undertake other duties commensurate to the grade of the post or as directed by the Asbestos Manager.


To use and assist others in the use of information technology systems to carry out duties in the most efficient and effective manner.

To achieve agreed service outcomes and outputs, as directed by the line manager.


To undertake training and constructively take part in meetings, supervision, seminars and other events designed to improve communication and assist with the effective development of the post and post holder.


To carry out duties and responsibilities in accordance with the clients commitment to customer service excellence and ensure compliance with the customer care standards.


To be committed to the clients core values of public service, quality, equality and empowerment and to demonstrate this commitment in the way duties are carried out.

To ensure that duties are undertaken with due regard and compliance with the Data Protection Act and other legislation.


To carry out duties and responsibilities in accordance with the clients Health and Safety Policy and relevant Health and Safety legislation.

Salary:
£17.76 per hour
