    Job Summary

    An opportunity has come up for an Administration Manager to join the healthcare team at HMP Haverigg. We are seeking an experienced administrator ready for the next career step. Have you honed your leadership skills across integrated and multi-disciplinary services? Are you motivated and dedicated to quality and continuous improvement? Would you embrace the chance for further training and development?

    Main Duties of the Job

    • Provide comprehensive administration and information services within the Prison Healthcare Department.
    • Lead the administration team to deliver top-notch clerical, administrative, and reception duties for both physical and substance misuse services.
    • Show excellent administration and communication skills, adapting flexibly to service needs.
    • Offer daily support to the physical and substance misuse clinical teams, aiding in delivering a Gold Standard level of patient care.
    • Handle all aspects of administrative support, including coordinating healthcare appointments for patients internally and externally and liaising regularly with external providers.
    • Compile statistical information as directed by the Business Support Manager for the Performance Management Team.

    Qualifications

    Essential

    • NVQ 3 in customer service or relevant field or equivalent experience
    • English & Maths GCSE or equivalent
    • European Computer Driving License or equivalent to demonstrate competence in Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel

    Knowledge and Experience

    Essential

    • Effective work experience in a busy office environment handling various administration duties
    • Customer service experience dealing with the public/patients
    • Working to deadlines
    • Database work and producing statistical data
    • Proficient in word processing, spreadsheet, database, and/or presentation software to RSA 3 standard or equivalent

    Desirable

    • Line management experience
    • Experience in a secure environment
    • Knowledge of SystmOne
    • Experience in a prison or secured environment
    • Chairing meetings experience
