In this role you will be expected to work in a busy, physically demanding role dealing with all aspects of the warehouse work including, efficiently handle, store and rotate stock working within a team environment.

Afternoons Shifts Only - Monday - Thursday 2pm - 10pm & Friday 12pm - 8pm


Key areas of responsibility, duties and the deliverables expected

  • Loading and unloading all transport.
  • Deal with inbound vehicles following the correct company procedure.
  • Receipting inbound internal and external stock accurately using systems provided.
  • Ensure safe handling, storage and repacking of all products in line with stock locations and rotation.
  • High level of care and accuracy with pick operations.
  • Load distribution vehicles in a safe, presentable manner and highlight all errors and damages prior to completion.
  • Maintaining high standards of the warehouse housekeeping.
  • Maintain high levels of Health and Safety awareness and report any areas of concern to the supervisor immediately.
  • Deal with the drivers in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Assist with stock counting when necessary.
  • Keeping stock locations tidy / accessible so that stock can be retrieved and counted easily.
  • Ensure all marked gangways are kept clear at all times.
  • Ensure forklift trucks are checked daily, recorded on relevant sheets and issues are reported to supervisor.
  • Put improvement suggestions forward where appropriate.
  • Delivering goods safely and efficiently and the location required
  • Adhere to customer requirements when delivering goods
  • Safety measure conducted on customer premises

Essential Skills & Experience required

  • Must have FLT Counter Balance and Reach Licence. VNA would be desirable
  • Should be physically fit.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Numerical and focused on accuracy.
  • Pays attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow instructions.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Should be a team player and have ability to coordinate with fellow workers.
  • Conscientious and flexible.
  • Remains calm under pressure.

From £11.00 per hour
