Key Responsibilities

  • Respond appropriately to enquiries, comments or complaints made by residents, relatives and other agencies.
  • Provide excellent advice and information to residents on all matters in relation to their tenancy, Welfare Benefits, Universal Credit, tenancy sustainment, community development and olderpersons housing in a consistent and professional manner.
  • To act promptly and professionally in respect of all reports of antisocial behaviour and other breaches of tenancy conditions.
  • Promptly respond to all reports of domestic abuse and escalate these to the Domestic Abuse Officer and Housing Manager to ensure this is responded to appropriately.
  • To make low level rent arrears repayment agreements in line with our Rent Arrears Recovery Procedures and escalate high level arrears to the appropriate Housing Manager.
  • Enforce SHP's arrears recovery policy by undertaking proactive discussions with residents and signpost to the Welfare Support Officer to help residents
- maximise their income and reduce indebtedness.


Essential

  • Proven experience of providing excellent customer service.
  • Proven ability to provide accurate and cle responses to routine customer enquiries writing, face to face, via digital media or b telephone.
  • Communicate calmly, clearly and appropriately, in person and on the telephone with a wide variety of vulnerable people, especially in stressful and difficult situations/
  • Listens, anticipates and seeks to exceed t expectations and needs of our residents.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and on y own. Takes responsibility and is accounta personal behaviours, decisions and effectiveness.
  • Resilient, adaptable and solution focused
  • Proven ability to work methodically, follo agreed procedures and accurately record and information.
  • Competent in using Microsoft Office and Suite
