HFL Building Solutions are currently recruiting for an Electrical QS to work as part of a compliance team to effectively ensure and improve compliance across all HFL Electrical services.

We are ideally seeking an individual who can demonstrate a high level of technical ability and problem solving skills. Strong leadership skills are also essential as you will be required to assume responsibility at an operational site level, overseeing the respective team(s) of engineers to provide support, develop and motivate.

Reporting directly to the Technical Services Manager, you will provide National coverage and play a pivotal role in ensuring that HFL's reputation remains synonymous with quality and professionalism

The Role requires:

  • Excellent and demonstrable experience of Commercial Building service electrical systems across all assets.
  • Assume site level management responsibility for respective site Engineer(s), across all regions in all aspects of Electrical tasks, Maintenance, reactive and Project works
  • Taking full responsibility for HFL Electrical QS role with the ECA company wide.
  • Work closely to maintain ECA accreditation and implement improvements throughout being responsible for the safety, technical standards and quality of electrical works completed under their supervision.
  • Ensuring the business documentations and records are available for inspection when required by ECA
  • To carry out routine inspections and competency checks of Engineers to improve on standards
  • To carry out routine Follow up inspections on works carried out by Engineers to improve on standards
  • Audit paperwork, assist in improving company Electrical procedures and Paperwork to conform with our ECA accreditation, which includes latest regulations. Continued......
  • Be first port off Call for all Electrical works and assist our planning team in booking in electrical bias Tasks
  • Offer support to engineers on filling out correct paperwork across small to large works.
  • Electrical testing, inspection and maintenance works
  • Mentoring of Building services apprentices
  • Ensuring safe work procedures
  • Work closely with the Technical Services Team,
  • Support and work with the project team on estimates & approved works.
  • Support All regions in Electrical related technical, maintenance, reactive and small project works
  • Support upkeep off all electrical devices for calibration with Technical service team inc. QSHE Manager.
  • Promote continual review and improvement of services by creating an environment in which Engineers are encouraged to use their initiative and creativity for the benefits of customers
  • Possess comprehensive technical skills to fault find and rectify

Qualifications_ - _**- C&G level2 & 3 or Equivalent Fully Qualified Electrician or approved person electrical qualification.

  • At least 10 years' experience in our industry as an Electrician.
  • In possession of an Inspection & testing qualification, in possession off C&G 2391 or 2394/5 or equivalent.
  • 18th edition
  • Supervisory experience is an advantage.
  • Research ability and Knowledge in electrical systems.
  • Basic computer skills working with Work & Excel.
  • Displaying leadership qualities.
  • Knowledge of safety and industry standards.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other technical departments. Willing to further progress with any relevant qualifications.
Hours Monday to Friday or as required by the business

Salary - Dependent on experience
