As a Quality Assurance Inspector reporting to the Quality Assurance Field District Manager, you will champion Smart Metering
The opportunity
You will be supporting team members within the smart metering technical quality assurance team both to maximise their performance and contributions to meet future needs of the business ensuring skill and knowledge sharing takes place whilst adhering to appropriate Health and Safety guidelines and supporting the goal of incident free performance within Smart Metering.
There is also an exciting opportunity to provide mentoring to new metering operatives as part of their assessment and working to support the In-Area team where appropriate.
You will carry out the Smart Metering Annual monitoring and Inspection Plan, additional quality assurance checks of dual fuel metering work and Over the Shoulder checks on Both EDF peripatetic and FFSP field operatives to ensure that they are carrying out metering installations to the correct training methods preferred by EDF Energy.
If required, you will need to help investigate reported hazards, advise on their resolution and carry out any additional checking or investigation functions as specified by the Technical and Quality Assurance Management team.
You'll need to be able to rectify dual fuel metering installation issues at the time of an inspection site visits to prevent unnecessary return visits and you maybe tasked to undertake some installations as or when required.
What we're looking for
Being a Quality Assurance Inspector at EDF means you must be a Metering single-phase Dual Fuel qualified and experienced individual.
You will have a mature and diplomatic approach with customers, work colleagues and experience in incident investigation, statement writing and dual duel smart metering.
Excellent communication and IT skills are key as you will be undertaking complaint handling calls, energy efficiency advice and supporting the Smart Metering Contract team in relation to site works completed by the Field Force Service Provider.
