A fantastic
opportunity has arisen for a Security Officer to provide and deliver a first-class customer service to all visitors and tenants at whilst ensuring that the building is safe and secure whilst assisting with Mail Room duties.


Must be able to work on their own initiative and as part of a team, adopt a proactive style in their duties, achieving high standards in a fast-flowing customer facing environment.

Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships both with other service providers and clients. Able to lead by example and develop team progression in all assignment duties.

Job Role / Requirements:


  • SIA Licence required
  • Corporate Security Experience is required of over 1 year
  • A working knowledge or an interest in the customer service environment, music and arts would be desirable
  • Efficient and effective Communication & Interpersonal Skills both written and oral to compile reports
  • Must be able to demonstrate a professional and proactive approach towards Security and have an attention to detail and be proactive
  • Excellent time management & task prioritisation skills
  • Must have experience in working within a team as well as on your own and have the ability to operate in a pressurised environment
  • Flexible in the approach to daily duties and additional events when held on site
  • First Aid qualification is a bonus

Duties & Responsibilities:


  • An individual that is selfgenerating who always strives for continuous improvement.
  • Assisting with mail room duties
  • Able to lead by example and develop team progression in all assignment duties.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships both with other service providers and clients
  • Make enquiries and submit reports on incidents as instructed by the client
  • Be aware of policy and procedures owned and changed from time to time by the company and client

  • Carry out any other reasonable request as required by the Client.
  • When required, to work within the Loading Bay and provide lunch cover or holiday cover
  • Any other duties deemed to be appropriate or necessary to the post
  • Be confident you are able to undertake 100% of all specific duties
  • Be able to provide all the documentation and vetting information requested

Building and external Patrols:


  • To conduct regular internal and external perimeter building patrols as per the patrol rota
  • Enter Patrols and Defects into the Patrol Log
  • To ensure when conducting building/external patrols all Health and Safety policies and procedures are always adhered to.
  • To prevent unauthorised personnel from entering the premises.
  • To assist members of the public and/or visitors who may need our help with directions
  • Conduct a thorough check of all vulnerable points of the perimeter of the buildings. Ensure all exits are secure and no risks are present.
  • Check for any suspicious vehicles.
  • Staff should be aware of suspect packages being deposited in and around the precinct of the building and should make themselves aware of the separate procedure to be adopted should such a devise be discovered.
  • Check for suspicious characters loitering around the area.
  • To conduct regular checks of areas listed within the Assignment Instructions.
  • To conducted Planned preventative checks of the client equipment in designated areas.
  • To prevent and detect fire, water leaks, and any potential safety hazards.
  • To provide escort duties.
  • To ensure that all fire exits, and portable firefighting equipment and risers are not impeded by any obstructions.
  • To check for unauthorised personnel in business sensitive areas
  • To check and verify the identity and work permits of any contractors working in the building
  • To report any incident or occurrence out of the ordinary to Security Control Room and enter in the Daily Occurrence Book (DOB)
  • To act as an ambassador to the client organisation ensuring that their business is represented accordingly in all the duties undertaken by you
  • To ensure that a full and thorough handover is conducted with the on coming officer when being relieved of position/post/shift.

Front of House Reception:


  • Provide an enhanced Customer Service to all visitors and occupiers.
  • To be able to confidently direct and assist visitors upon arrival
  • Have a good understanding of events and performances held in the Event areas.
  • To prevent unauthorised access into the building by completing a 100% pass check.
  • To ensure that the client Permit to work system is adhered to at all times.
  • To assist with the testing of the fire alarm system.
  • To ensure deliveries are not accepted at the reception and redirected around to the Loading Bay
