Role purpose
The Purchasing Administrator provides vital support to our professional team in helping them deliver the smooth running of business purchasing.
You will provide high quality administration support to aid the team and provide comprehensive support to ensure that all procedures are adhered to.
This will involve working efficiently with colleagues, client departments, external agencies, and suppliers.Key accountabilities
Monitoring Delivery timescales.
Collating and processing POD's and advance shipping notes on our Smartsource system, to enable smooth invoicing process.
Resolving invoice queries by liaising with the Buying and Payables team.
Data reporting and analysis
Database management
Ensure delivery notes are saved in a systematic manner for easy access by the team.
Deliver accurate and precise communication at various levels to complete tasks.
Support the Buying team with adhoc general admin tasks such as chasing deliveries with Suppliers.
To ensure full compliance with all Company policies and ISO accreditations.
Skills & experience
Proven knowledge of the end to end buying process from ordering through to invoicing is essential
Good knowledge of the building industry an advantage
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 suite
Good written and verbal communication skills
Qualifications:
Educated to GCSE standard
