An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and highly organised individual to join our Endoscopy team within Ysbyty Gwynedd.

The post holder will provide and deliver an accurate and prompt administrative function to facilitate the delivery of an efficient and effective theatre booking service.


The post holder will work alongside the booking team, nursing staff, Doctors, the public, management and staff from internal and external sources, supporting other team members to deliver the targets and a patient focused booking service.

The post holder will need to use initiative, working in sometimes complex situations to ensure patients are booked in line with local and national targets.


High levels of customer service and excellent communication / interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to use your own initiative to solve problems as they arise.


You will have experience in an administrative role and preferably worked with the public and be competent in IT in the workplace.

Attention to detail and accurate data capture is paramount.

The hours of work are 28 hours per week.

The ability to speak Welsh is essential for this post.


The Endoscopy booking clerk will be responsible for managing their own workload with mínimal supervision and in accordance with Endoscopy operational procedures, protocols and BCUHB policies.


Must have the ability to plan, prioritise and when necessary re-prioritise their own workload to ensure agreed timescales are achieved.


Ensure that theatre sessions are fully booked in line with agreed theatre timings and booking rules and that this is reflected on the live theatre view on WPAS.
