Description
We are a flight case company based in Rainham, Essex.

We build a variety of cases out of plywood and metal, with all sorts of hardware, including, handles, corners, catches etc.

that are used in many industries such as broadcasting, audio visual, lighting, exhibitions, entertainment, and others.


Duties of
CNC operator:


This is a hands on job that will require additional work on top of simply setting up the
CNC machine.

Main duties will be working on the
CNC machine, using Alfacam to create files from customer templates or dimension of the equipment

Reading and interpreting technical drawings and design models

Inputting the product design into the computer modelling software

Choosing and loading the correct tools for the job

Adjusting machine settings to the desired product specifications

Troubleshooting issues during the manufacturing process

Loading raw materials (ply wood pannels) into the
CNC machine.

Cleaning and maintaining the machines


The job although
CNC based is quite physical as it requires moving large panels of plywood on & off the machine, it also includes other steps to be completed at table handsaw, rebating machines, sanding etc.

to create ply wood panels that are ready for next step in the production line (training will be provided).

Previous
CNC machine operation or programming (flat bed
CNC woodworking)

Experience in interpreting technical drawings

General computer skills

Some AutoCAD experience or any other CAD, CAM programmes

Strong attention to detail

Skilled at troubleshooting and resolving mechanical or logístical problems

Ability to work independently and closely follow directions

A positive and professional attitude


Qualities and Skills required:
Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team

Ability to follow instructions and drawings

Versatile, and willing to learn new skills

An eye for detail and quality

Flexible and reliable

Hardworking and trustworthy

Being able to work to deadlines and resolve problems

The above skills or experience are an advantage, though extensive training and support will be given.

Working hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm


Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
From £26,000.00 per year


Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Overtime
  • Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:

  • Performance bonus
