Sanctuary Personnel, a committed and competitive recruitment agency is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Homecare Nurse to work based in Peterborough.

The salary for this permanent Homecare Nurse job is £29,000 - £32,000 per annum.


Duties:


  • Give patients control of their health through knowledge, choice, convenience, and connection
  • Work as a member of a multidisciplinary team responsible for delivering care excellence in line with patients' needs, key performance indicators and outcome measures and goals and targets
  • Delivering effective and highquality nursing care to patients in a home environment to facilitate early supported transfer from hospital or to prevent unnecessary admission
  • Safely administer a range of therapeutic interventions relevant to NHS project and training
  • Identify and report risks and incidents using Sciensus and hospitalbased systems as per contractual requirements
  • Maintain accurate contemporaneous clinical records and ensure they are logged on relevant clinical systems
  • Having responsibility for the health, safety and welfare of self and others and complying at all times with requirements of Health and Safety regulations, including reporting any accidents or incidents using relevant documentation
  • Adhere to (CQC/ GDP/NMC/GPHC / ICO) standards relevant to role
  • Chair / Attend all relevant committees aligned to remit of the role
  • Delivering patient care in patients own homes according to an agreed programme of care and care plan

Requirements of the Homecare Nurse:


  • RGN part 1 NMC Register (RSCN where appropriate)
  • Be aware of all responsibilities relating to Infection Prevention and Control
  • Be fully aware of and understand through relevant training provided by Sciensus, of the duties and responsibilities attaining to the Safeguarding of all patients both Adults and Children
  • Experience in an acute care setting post registration including some time taking independent clinical decisions and supervising the work of others
  • Strong understanding of therapies and drugs relevant to service offering, including NHS knowledge relating to the management of patients with treated conditions
  • Pays close attention to detail and follows rules and protocols, quality oriented
  • Strong communication skills, including actively listening, communicating sensitively, putting people at ease, and making technical details easy to understand
  • Adaptable to change; flexible enough to cope with changing service demands
  • Full Clean Drivers licence
