Duties of theSenior Social Worker:
Conduct thorough assessments of children and families referred to the MASH.
Work collaboratively with professionals from health, education, police, and other agencies to gather information and make informed decisions.
Provide expert advice and support to less experienced social workers and other team members.
Chair strategy discussions and meetings, ensuring effective and timely decision-making.
Develop and implement safeguarding plans in accordance with statutory guidelines and best practice.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in line with organisational policies.
Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
Requirements of the
Senior Social Worker:
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, or an equivalent qualification.
Registered with Social Work England
Proven statutory UK experience in Children social work, with a strong understanding of relevant legislation and policies.
Must have MASH experience.
Commitment to continuous professional development and staying informed about best practices in social work.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating resilience and adaptability
