About the Team

The Chief Scientist Directorate (CSD) provides scientific and evidence leadership services and support to help Natural England operate as an evidence-led organisation.

The Data Science Services (DSS) Team, within the Analysis Team of CSD, provides access to evidence through the provision and management of data and digital systems, and through provision of analytical services.

Role Description

The role will support the delivery of the design, build and test work within the 'Transform' and 'Conservation Management System (CMSi)' themes of the
Evidence Digital Systems Improvement Programme (EDSIP).

EDSIP is an exciting new programme aimed at delivering a wide range of transformative technological solutions, for the systems underpinning our data and analysis capabilities.

This supports our Priority Shift 4 'To be evidence and evaluation led'.

Key tasks/principal accountabilities.
Tasks for this role will include (but not be limited to):

Assist with the development and testing of new Evidence IT systems and improvements to existing Evidence systems
Work with Theme Leads, Senior Advisers, user groups, suppliers and stakeholders (e.g. technology partners, external contractors, etc.) to establish solutions.
