This is an assistant accountant role perfect for an individual who is currently looking to move out of practice into the private sector.

This role will allow an individual to develop and progress within their finance career.

Our client was formed in 1955 and is a privately owned British business gas supplier providing natural gas, connection and metering services to small, medium sized and large corporate businesses, throughout England.

Our is a fast growing organisation whois currently moving into other sectors, thus is a perfect time to join the business.


Description

The key responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring daily communications and answering any finance related queries internally and externally.
  • Maintaining purchase ledger records in any companies assigned and managing relevant payments. Performing periodic reconciliations and delaying with any queries relating to invoices
  • Maintaining bank records and reconciliations of assigned accounts
  • Assisting in monthly management account preparation and year ends.
  • Assisting in preparing and providing information relating to annual statutory audits.
  • Assisting in collection and preparation of financial information for regulatory reporting
  • Any other duties relating to finance and accounting

Profile

  • Part qualified or someone starting their accounting career, studying for ACCA, CIMA.
  • Finance graduate
  • 2 years in finance support role
  • Excel intermediate level
  • Used to using finance systems
  • Need energetic fast learner, prepared to take on a challenge and perform to deadlines.
  • Will be exposed to many parts of the finance function and be involved in developing our systems
