Description

Main duties

To operate warehouse manual handling equipment to include high reach and counterbalance fork lift trucks, trailer tow tractors, ride on and push pallet trucks and pallet inverters to move, load, wrap and safely store palletized products on site.

Job Overview

Maintain high standards of service continuity to ensure prompt delivery and collection of raw materials and finished products between B13 Warehouse and B2 production areas
Specific tasks and objectives will be agreed with the individual at regular intervals in order to meet changing operational needs of the business
Ensure full compliance to GXP operating standards of cleaning, PPE, paperwork and conduct where applicable.
Ensure good standards of housekeeping in all areas used by the Distribution and Logistics team.
Report all damage and maintenance required on equipment the Line Manager. To report any nonconformances to Mitie line management.

Follow Group and company policies and procedures at all times

Report any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment provided that may result in failure of service delivery or risk to health and safety or the environment
Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received
Report any issues or training needs to your Line manager and /or via your divisional incident reporting system
Ensure compliance with Mitie's information security procedures in all activities
Proactively identify and report security risks to your manager
Report actual and suspected security incidents

What we are looking for:

Must hold Counterbalance Forklift Licence and other training will be provided for High Reach Forklift and Trailer Tow Tractors
Support shift cover for team holiday/sickness
Escalate any individual or team issues to Distribution & Logistics Team leader
Patricipate in scheduled and ad hoc Mitie Tool Box Talks.
Participate Mitie Learning Hub training requirements and ensure 100% compliance to KPI
Carry out any other reasonable requests
