    We are offering an excellent opportunity for an experienced Mental Health Pharmacist to join our respected team in leading and enhancing pharmacy services for mental health in Derbyshire.

    DHCFT is undergoing significant development in the inpatient service with the construction of 2 new hospitals, including acute adult wards and a PICU. The pharmacy department is expanding to cater to these new areas, as well as improving services for our community mental health teams.

    We provide our pharmacy staff with development opportunities, including funding for post-graduate qualifications in mental health pharmacy and independent prescribing qualifications.

    This position is ideal for an experienced Mental Health Pharmacist seeking a career progression.

    • Developing relationships with the multi-disciplinary team
    • Responding to medication queries
    • Discussing medication with patients
    • Educating colleagues on medicines management

    Qualifications

    Essential criteria

    • GPhC registration
    • Postgraduate mental health pharmacy diploma OR a postgraduate diploma in clinical pharmacy with equivalent experience

    Desirable criteria

    • Pharmacist Independent Prescribing qualification
    • CMHP Accreditation
    • Post-graduate qualification in clinical pharmacy

    Knowledge/Experience

    Essential criteria

    • Hospital pharmacy experience
    • Specialized knowledge in mental health medications
    • Experience as a mental health pharmacist

    Desirable criteria

    • Line management experience
    • Quality improvement and service development experience
    • Experience as a prescriber
    • Experience working across organizational interfaces
