    Credit Control Manager, Central Marketing Unit - Brighton, East Sussex, United Kingdom - Kings Education

    Description

    We are looking for an experienced B2C Credit Control Manager who will be responsible for the efficient and effective management of Student and Agent debts. This is an exciting opportunity for a hard-working individual who is proactive, detail oriented and willing to be hands on.

    The Credit Control Manager will be instrumental in enhancing our "Student and Agent Journey", documenting, training, and implementing any agreed changes. They will streamline the debt collection process and create a new reporting process to share the status of outstanding debts with recommendations of next steps.

    This is a new role for Kings Education and will work alongside the Agent Finance Manager; they will maintain and enhance customer service to all internal departments (Admissions, Sales & Marketing, Finance), and external customers (Agents, Parents, Students). We envisage that there would be travel to the UK colleges a few times a year.

    Duties and responsibilities Student Credit Control

    • Supporting all schools credit control function with
      • Daily banking
      • Allocating monies received
      • Responding to emails
      • Producing statements or receipts
      • Being proactive on Student credit control as per process, including year 2 progressors
      • Following up on payment plans, and updating where appropriate
      • Run weekly Debtors Reports ensuring it is kept up to date with detailed information
    • Support schools credit control with escalation process as required
    • Oversee the refundable deposit process, including
      • Reviewing the refundable deposit list for any students that have left or cancelled
      • Ensuring deposit charges are recorded on the account
      • Obtaining bank details and processing or approving refund payments
      • Reconciling refundable deposits
    • Cover schools credit control function during holidays and sickness – being proactive not just reactive.

    Agent Credit Control

    • Manage key agent accounts
    • Responding to emails
    • Producing statements or receipts
    • Allocation of monies received
    • Run weekly debtors reports
    • Ensure debtors reports are kept up to date with detailed information i.e. debt progress
    • Resolving queries and escalation cases for any late payers
    • Processing commission, bonus and incentive payments

    Other duties

    • First point of contact between Finance, Admissions Team and Regional Managers to resolve Agent/ Student queries
    • Investigate and resolve transactions in suspense
    • Running invoice batch process on class (outside of regular working hours) – monthly
    • Reviewing aged student and agent debt on a regular basis
    • Actioning any legacy debit or credits.
    • Improving processes and creating process notes
    • Create templated emails for recurring situations
    • Develop and maintain strong stakeholder relationships
    • Supporting the team with:
      • Anti money laundering
      • Fraud and cyber crime risks
      • Other regulatory requirements
    • Other duties as required

    Applicants must be able to demonstrate:

    Professional experience

    • B2C credit control experience – minimum 3 years
    • Experience of working with international customers
    • Credit Control Manager experience (preferred)
    • Experience of working in a school (preferred)
    • Meticulous and detail-oriented

    • Team player but able to work on own initiative and be proactive at all times
    • Ability to think ahead and be proactive
