The Trust is working to live within its means and become both financially and clinically sustainable.

To help it achieve this, the Trust is establishing a Delivery Unit which will be responsible for co-ordinating the Trust's savings, productivity, and waste management projects, as well as supporting other key transformation programmes and strategic aims and objectives.

The post holder will lead and manage a portfolio of projects including identifying and supporting delivery and producing reports updating on progress, risks, and delivery of key performance indicators (including finances).


The Transformation and Delivery Lead, working out of the Delivery Unit, is a key new role bringing both the business and improvement skills to ensure Clinical Divisions achieve their service delivery and financial plans.

Each Transformation and Delivery Lead will be attached to a specific portfolio of work and Division and will work closely with the clinical and operational leads, to provide knowledge, expertise and support/coaching/training regarding:


  • Opportunity identification
  • Writing business cases
  • Design, planning and implementation of projects
  • Risk management and litigation
  • Preparation of project management documentation including project initiation documents (PIDs) and quality impact assessments (QIAs)
  • Writing strategies to ensure the attainment of goals
  • Analysis and interpretation of complex data.


The post holder will be an experienced leader with business acumen and commercial awareness alongside improvement and project/programme management skills and will be responsible for supporting the Divisions in driving delivery of a range of business initiatives (especially savings and productivity improvements) and projects to improve quality, operational and financial performance.
