What you'll be doing


You will operate as part of the creative team, undertaking an editing role within under the guidance of the Post-Production Supervisor and Lead Editor.

A go to team in guiding and assisting departments across the organisation in ensuring that videoremains a high-quality deliverable for any department.

You will deliver well organised rough-cut sequences based on a brief or direction from the Post-Production Supervisor, perform standard audio processing tasks, including noise reduction and levelmatching and deliveredited content that fulfils the project brief in the required format.

As the Editor you are expected to take a central editing role within You will have good communication and client liaison skills with an eye for quality and detail ensuring videos are delivered on time and to client's expectation.

Proficient withAdobe CC products, especially Premiere and Photoshop and have technical awareness of wrappers and codecs for digital video.

A little more about the role

  • Follow instructions in the form of a written or verbal brief, an outline of footage, shot list, script or screenplay
  • Download, ingest and organise all footage in preparation for editing in line with best practices
  • Deliver well organised roughcut sequences based on a brief or direction from the Post-Production Supervisor
  • Deliver edited content that fulfils the project brief in the required format
  • Perform standard colour grading tasks including camera matching and white balancing
  • Perform standard audio processing tasks, including noise reduction and level matching
  • Have a good understanding of offline editing processes
  • Follow IET and branding guidelines
  • Follow all postproduction workflow guidelines
  • Attend daily virtual updates with the Post Production Supervisor
  • Update the postproduction workflow board daily
  • Backup work daily to the online backup system
  • To undertake any other duties and projects at the request of the line manager
  • To be fully conversant and compliant with Data Protection legislation and IET Policy, and act responsibly on matters of data disclosure, both internally and to third parties.
  • To be familiar with the Health and Safety and Fire policies for the company and to attend mandatory updates where required.

A little more about what we're looking for

Essential Criteria:


  • Enthusiasm, drive and a commitment to a career in editing and video production
  • Video, audio, and multimedia production skills
  • Proficient with Adobe CC products, especially Premiere and Photoshop
  • Working knowledge of After Effects
  • Technical awareness of wrappers and codecs for digital video
  • Computer literate with a good working knowledge of MS Word, Outlook and Power Point
  • Well organised, with good problemsolving skills
  • Outstanding communication skills with the ability to work across multiple teams to successfully achieve objectives within strict deadlines
  • Professional manner, providing a positive, customerfocused approach to all aspects of the role
  • Excellent written English and an eye for detail
  • Proactive and enthusiastic outlook

  • Experience in multimedia production and post production workflows
  • Knowledge of additional software packages, particularly DaVinci Resolve
  • Conversant with current and emerging editing technologies
  • Understanding or experience of marketing techniques
  • Experience of nonprofit making membership organisations
