    Self-employed – Term time

    We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and well-qualified visiting singing teacher who is an excellent practitioner in their field to join our flourishing Performing Arts Department. Professional performing experience which can be imparted to the pupils would be advantageous. Singing is highly popular at St Johns; we have a number of pupils taking singing lessons, and taking formal graded examinations. All genres of music and styles are actively encouraged, and our teachers are adept at teaching these differing styles.

    The successful candidate should have experience of preparing students for ABRSM, Trinity and LCM Musical Theatre exams. Pupils are extremely enthusiastic about their music lessons and enjoy a wide range of repertoire; pupils are encouraged to sing in several ensembles, and present themselves regularly for formal and informal concerts and competitions.

    Initially, we anticipate up to a day of teaching; pupils could require lessons across 30 weeks of the academic year. We envisage that this number will increase.
