    Job Summary

    We have a fantastic opportunity available for a Band 7 Occupational Therapist who is dedicated to supporting children and young people facing mental health challenges. Join our diverse and forward-thinking team at Sandwell CAMHS, where your clinical expertise and leadership skills will shine. We are seeking a passionate Occupational Therapist who can work both independently and collaboratively, showing compassion towards service users.

    As a Senior Specialist Clinician, you will focus on services for children and young individuals in the Emotional and Behavioral domain, while also contributing to other areas like Suicidality and Trauma, Neuro Developmental, and Learning Disability based on service requirements. This role involves supervising Band 6 Occupational Therapists and supporting the management team in service operations.

    Main Duties of the Job

    • Be compassionate in meeting the needs of clients, carers, and families
    • Provide specialized OT advice to the multidisciplinary team
    • Utilize various communication tools effectively with children and families to enhance their treatment progress
    • Attend EHCP meetings to share crucial information
    • Communicate sensitive information in an empathetic manner
    • Conduct CAMHS assessments and risk evaluations
    • Offer consultation to MDT members within and outside CAMHS
