Description
We're looking for an experienced SLT passionate about delivering stroke care to inpatients to join our team at MRI.You'll be part of an established MDT on the unit, as well as part of our wider SLT team in the hospital and across the city.
We offer excellent CPD opportunities - regular FEES and VF clinics (training can be provided if needed) as well as a structured supervision and inservice programme.
To provide an efficient and high-quality specialised speech & language therapy service for patients based on the Stroke Unit.
To be the senior SLT on the unit and provide day-to-day leadership of the unit's SLT team.To provide instrumental assessments (FEES and VF) alongside SLT colleagues for patients within the unit and on site at Manchester Royal Infirmary.
To supervise Band 6 and Band 5 speech & language therapists as well as assistants and students as required.
To participate in own professional development as well as that of others.MFT is one of the largest NHS Trust In England with a turnover of 2.6bn & is on a different scale than most other NHS Trusts.
