Heritage Portfolio have a fantastic opportunity for an Events Assistant to be based at one of Edinburgh's most prestigious venues.

We would love you to join our awesome team in this exciting role to oversee all events across the venue at the Royal Botanic Gardens.

We provide a professional operation across a broad portfolio of conferences, meetings, and events, from major international conferences to day meetings and prestigious dining events.

We are looking for friendly, charismatic, and professional individuals to join and strengthen our diverse team.

As Events Assistant, you will support the operational service delivery, which includes setting up, service, clearing and many other activities for a wide range of conferences and events.

You will learn a wide range of skills as well as gain numerous of development opportunities.

This is a rare opportunity to work in the exciting setting in the Royal Botanic Garden which participates in projects in more than 35 countries around the world.

In 2020 it celebrated its scientific and horticultural achievements of the past 350 years, tracing progress from 17th century physic garden to world-leading botanic gardens.

Applicants must be available to work on the weekends

Rate of Pay:
£12 per hour

Main Responsibilities

Welcoming guests, taking orders and serving beverages to guests
Care about customer satisfaction and deliver the optimal client service experience
Serving guests in a friendly, welcoming and efficient manner while maintaining a clean and safe work environment
Help answer questions and make suggestions regarding food and beverage choices and related items
Clean and sanitize equipment and tables
Strong communicational skills.
