Learning Support Assistant (LSA) - Multiple positions - TEMP

Location:
Redhill

Salary:
£12.00 per hour

Hours:
Flexible to consider - 5 days per week, 8:45am-5:00pm Term time only

Start:
ASAP / ongoing basis

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work for this college in their modern building based in
Redhill.

The purpose of this role is to help students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities to participate fully in the college experience and to achieve their learning goals.

The post holder will be expected to work within the framework of detailed learningand assessment plans, drawn up and monitored by lecturers.

As a
Learning Support Assistant, you will help to provide a quality learning environment with the ultimate aim of raising levels of attainment.

The role will involve working with learners with a variety of support needs, including thosewith emotional and behavioural needs, learning difficulties and those who have disengaged from mainstream education.

Have excellent communication skills
Be qualified to at least level 2 (GCSE) in Literacy and Numeracy
Have competent IT Skills and the ability to use Word, Excel and Outlook
Experience of supporting students in a College or School environment would be beneficial
