Learning Support Worker - Secondary School SEN

Location:
Ashington, Northumberland


Contract Type:
Temporary (Supply basis)


Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 8:15 am to 3:30 pm


Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of learners with special educational needs? We are currently seeking a dedicated Learning Support Worker to join our team at a Secondary School located in the vibrant heart of Northumberland.

This temporary role, with the potential to go permanent, involves working with Secondary aged learners with a focus on Autism and other Moderate Learning Difficulties.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Provide support to learners with special educational needs, including those with Autism, across various age groups.
  • Assist in the implementation of personalised learning plans.
  • Comfortable with personal care tasks as required.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications and Experience:


  • A genuine passion for working with learners who have special needs.
  • Experience with Autism spectrum disorders is highly desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
