Description

You will be supporting a child with additional needs working 1:1 in a mainstream classroom. The school, which is based in Billingham, is easily accessible by both car and public transport.

The school are looking for a pro-active Teaching Assistant who can help support with building the children's confidence and their learning and development.

These children may have Autism, ASD, ADHD, Downs Syndrome, Physical and Visual Impairments, Global Delay etc.

JOB ROLE

Key Responsibilities as a Teaching Assistant:

Working with children who have additional SEND needs.
Supporting the class teacher across the whole class.
Supporting these pupils with the full National Curriculum to all ranges.
Working with groups of children or working with pupils on a 121 basis.

JOB CANDIDATE

Ideally be Level 2 qualified or higher
Have knowledge or experience working with children with SEN. Mainly looking for an individual with a caring nature
Ideally Team Teach trained

Duties include but are not limited to:

Assisting the Assistant Teacher with lesson planning, including student assessments, and data collection.
Assisting with the implementation of daily lesson plans and assessment.
Assist with maintaining classroom supplies and materials.
Maintain classroom safety and cleanliness.
Other duties as assigned by the Teacher and or Lead Teacher.

Experience:

Minimum of one year of teaching experience preferred.
Knowledge of Early Childhood Education Curriculum preferred.
Ability to work well in a team environment.
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with teachers, parents, students, and staff.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis and occasionally stand for long periods of time.

Salary:
£80.00-£90.00 per day
