From April 1st our new starter rate is in line with the National Living wage of £10.90 per hour. There are six levels for Support Workers, encouraging progression in the role. Salaries for qualified and experienced support workers range up to £12 an hour.

Headway Birmingham & Solihull is a Brain Injury Charity.

Our Lifestyle Services Team provide support, services and guidance for people with an Acquired Brain Injury enabling them to improve their independence at home and in the community leading to an improved quality of life.


We are looking to recruit enthusiastic, friendly, positive, caring, self-motivated individuals who have the drive, personality and reliability to make a real difference to our clients' lives.


Your role will involve supporting clients to attend appointments, social activities, shopping in the community or with day to day living skills in their homes.

Some personal care may be required.

Induction:


  • Comprehensive induction and ongoing training to include the Care Certificate to assist with your development in the role of Lifestyle Support Worker.

Applicants will need to be a Car Driver / Owner and have experience of working with disabilities, have, or be willing to gain an NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care. Experience of working with brain injury desirable.
