Production Team Leader required to aid production operatives in the assembly of components for exciting industry areas such as F1 Motorsport and Aerospace, within a leading manufacturer in Gloucester.

The business is receiving significant investment andgrowing rapidly ahead of demand. This is a permanent opportunity, operating on a double-days shift pattern, with an early finish every Friday.

Role Responsibilities

  • To supervise Production Operatives and ensure the efficient running of a production section/cell and the whole production department when the Production Supervisor /Production Manager is absent. Dealing with issues or queries to keep production running.
  • To check on a production cell's production and quality targets on an hourly basis by reviewing target sheets/boards.
Handling or reporting any issues, as well as updating targets as needed on an immediate basis.

  • Inspect the different manufacturing stages and ensure that product quality standards are being met.
  • Publishing production figures daily using the production boards, noting the underachievers in red and informing the Production Supervisor/Production Manager of contingencies.
  • To train Production Operatives and Agency Workers as necessary on the job in compliance with the Task Instruction Sheet (ensuring the operator has been trained through the document).This will include training on H&S, quality and production targets whilecompleting the relevant paperwork.

  • Technically competent in operating machinery and running processes in section, cell within the department.
  • Trained and knowledgeable in the materials used in the department.
  • Able to competently train others on the job to the required standards.
  • Provide flexibility on shifts to ensure production requirements are met.
  • Raising engineering fault reports and liaising with the engineering team on breakdown/repair statuses.
