As Transport Manager you will be responsible for the day-to-day planning, management and profitability of the UK and European transport operations.

Description
This role is responsible for the day-to-day planning, management and profitability of the UK and European transport operations.

Full accountability for the transport fleet and road crew
Planning and coordinating transport routes and daily schedules for UK and Europe
Effective management in arranging customer collections, packing services and deliveries
Management and use of sub contractors control and affect an effective work flow, control costs, ensure efficient planning and maximise productivity
Full management of company vehicle fleet (trucks and cars), including budgeting and costing for additions to the fleet, ensuring fleet is fully roadworthy and serviced
Stay abreast of all UK and EU road legislations manage and implement appropriate changes and updates. Oversee the compliance of all legal requirements that affect the company's vehicles
Manage company expenditure on transportation and advocate for new services, products etc to improve the company's productivity and profitability and reduce company expenses and bills
Generate monthly transport reports detailing revenue, profit margins, operational issues, justifications, explanations and recommendations
Identify the mentoring, coaching and development needs of teams devise plans to help others to improve their knowledge and skills
Team building encourage and building mutual trust, respect and cooperation among team members
