We are are seeking dynamic individuals to join a pioneering initiative in the field of fusion energy.


This organisation, is at the forefront of delivering fusion energy through the innovative Spherical Tokamak for Energy Production (STEP) project.


Fusion energy presents a vital solution to combat climate change and ensure energy independence, with commercial viability expected by mid-century.

Join the team as they aim to establish a prototype fusion plant, targeting first operations around 2040.


You'll collaborate with industry leaders and contribute to building a fusion supply chain with an estimated global sector value of £7tn per year.


Position:
Head of Programme and Project Controls - Fusion Energy

In this role, you'll lead the development and implementation of programme and project controls. Your responsibilities include driving best practices, ensuring compliance with standards, and enhancing overall programme success.

Collaborating with key stakeholders, you'll manage a team of project professionals to ensure effective delivery of scope, schedule, cost, risk, and dependencies.

Working closely with senior leaders, you'll contribute to the efficient establishment and delivery of the programme.


Qualifications

Essential Requirements:


  • Effective leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop highperforming teams and engender confidence in stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate appropriate professional qualifications (for example only, Chartered Project Professional, PRINCE2, Managing Successful Programmes) and membership of associated professional bodies (for example the Association for Project Management).
  • Thorough knowledge of risk management, cost control, and quality assurance.
