Angus Dundee Distillers, based in Coatbridge, is seeking an experienced and passionate individual to join our team as a Cask and Maturation Leader.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Cask Movements: Oversee and manage the meticulous movement of casks throughout the maturation process, ensuring the integrity and quality of our spirits.
  • Maturation Warehousing: Maintain and optimize maturation warehouses, implementing best practices to enhance the quality and consistency of our whisky and operational activities.

Bulk Fillings:
Coordinate and manage cask and bulk fillings, ensuring accurate records are kept and production targets are met.

  • Empty Wood Management: Monitor and manage the lifecycle of casks, including overseeing the process of emptying, inspecting, and preparing them for reuse.
  • Team Management: Lead a team of warehouse operators, cask handlers, and coopering specialist, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Oversee staff training and continuous improvement.
  • Efficient Operations: Manage efficient daytoday operational procedures to ensure smooth and effective maturation processes.
  • Health and Safety: Prioritize and enforce health and safety protocols, creating a safe working environment for all team members.
  • Liaison: Collaborate with internal teams, including production and quality control, as well as external parties such as customers, suppliers and logistics providers.

Requirements:


  • Proven experience in a similar role within the whisky or spirits industry.
  • Indepth knowledge of cask maturation and warehouse management.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and problemsolving abilities.
  • Commitment to health and safety standards.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
