Job description - Backshift Forklift Driver


Angus Dundee Distillers PLC is currently recruiting for Backshift Forklift Driver (Bottling Hall) to join our Coatbridge facility on a permanent basis.

You will be joining a new Backshift Team which is being formed to meet our growing production requirements.

Reporting to the Maturation Supervisor, you will be working within our Manufacturing Facility which is a key part of our Company's mission to supply high quality, bottled products worldwide.

Please note this role will initially be day shift whilst in the training period. Once training has been completed the role will be permanent backshift.

The main duties of the role are as follows:

  • Carry out all required tasks to the best of your ability
  • Health & Safety of oneself and others
  • Ensure product quality & integrity always
  • Accurate recording of transport details
  • Undergo training when required
  • Maintain hygiene of the working environment /machinery
  • Ensure asset care / maintenance of the trucks

  • 4 day working week with a 25% salary uplift.

What we're looking for:

  • A current Forklift Truck Licence.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to work on your own initiative.
  • The ability to carry out manual handling tasks.
  • Experience of working within a similar environment (working within the spirits industry would be a distinct advantage).
  • The ability to work as part of a team, ensuring all work is carried out to a high standard and in line with the company requirements.
  • The ability to manage numerous tasks whilst managing your time effectively.
