    Head of ESG6 Month ContractUK BasedVia Umbrella Our leading financial services client is looking for a Head of ESG to join their team for an initial 6-month contract, with a strong possibility of extension.

    What are we looking for?will be a subject matter expert responsible for leading the work to successfully deliver the Group's sustainability strategies and targets, including net zero target and transition, and broader response to key environmental issues in the Supply act as subject matter expert supporting the development of sustainability, including climate change related propositions, projects and risk management be responsible for developing and coordinating the plan to meet these, including ensuring clear reporting and communication of the delivery of the sustainability act as an external spokesperson on sustainability and climate change related matters, including engaging with industry wide initiatives, conducting thought leadership and communicating and building relationships with external track the latest developments in the business, market and policy response to sustainability, climate change and broader environmental issues, such as waste and biodiversity loss, ensuring the group has a cutting edge strategy in also support the Chief Sustainability Officer and the central team to ensure the Group is a leader in Sustainability which is central to our purpose-led the opportunity to work on a broad range of initiatives across the business and be accountable for ensuring delivery of various initiatives, working with a wide range of stakeholders across the will have a strong understanding of concepts and principles of sustainability and ESG with a financial services focus, as well as project management expected to be a self-starter with a curious and entrepreneurial mindset who is open to working and developing in areas outside of your specific area of expertise.

    A key aspect of this role involves networking and brokering connections across the organisation to broaden knowledge and effect change.

    Similarly, you are expected to network externally and broker relationships and contacts that can help us to unlock additional opportunities as an organisation and collaborate to reports to the Head of Procurement and supports the development of the Group's ESG supply chain strategy, creation of appropriate frameworks and reporting mechanisms, as well as effective operationalisation and roll out across the supplier base.
