An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Department of Clinical Sciences for a Departmental Secretary to join the dynamic team.
As the first institution of its kind in the world, dedicated to education and research in tropical diseases, it's an exciting time to join LSTM as we enter our 125th anniversary year in 2023.
Main duties of the Departmental Secretary will include:
- Administration and organisation of meetings
- Organising travel itineraries (international and national)
- Supporting the efficient management of departmental budgets
- Coordinating with Communications team to ensure that departmental webpages and intranet is up to date
- Liaise between Human Resources and the Department in organising the recruitment and onboarding of new staff
Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential to the role, as is the ability to tactfully handle confidential information, prioritise your own workload and adapt to changes within a fast-moving environment.
