Project Manager

SharePoint Migration

Location:
Manchester (hybrid working, 1 day per week in the office)


Start Date:
ASAP


Contract Length: 3 Months, likely to extend to 12 months

IR35:
Outside

The Project Manager will be responsible for delivering numerous simultaneous projects within and across the organisation. Looking for someone who has completed a migration into SharePoint.


Key skill - Technical knowledge and skills:

  • Demonstrable experience of migrating an EDRMS (Electronic Document & Records Management) to SharePoint. Migration from a Livelink EDRMS system, would be preferrable.
  • Strong technical knowledge based on significant IT experience.
  • A good working knowledge of current technologies.
  • Experience of managing changes to production systems.
  • Ability to understand a project, map it to technologies and make recommendations.
  • Significant experience of managing projects including 3rd parties and technical resources.
  • Significant experience of business analysis working including working with budget holders to identify the systems requirements and translate them to functional specifications.
  • Experience of managing projects using a structured methodology (ideally Prince2).
  • Strong experience and understanding of Agile software development methodologies.
  • Experience in creating and managing project documentation.
  • Knowledge of change management from both a technical and project perspective.
  • Experience of ITIL based processes.

Main responsibilities:


  • The management of projects consisting of numerous technical and business streams.
  • To oversee various work streams and coordinate the resources responsible for them.
  • To develop and manage project documentation including project initiation documentation, plans, risks and issues logs.
  • To prepare regular project reports.
  • To organise project board meetings and present progress updates to project board members.
  • To undertake structured tenders in line with the EU procurement process.
  • To manage internal resources and third party resources.
  • To perform business analysis working with senior managers to gather highlevel requirements including conducting workshops.
  • Document workflows and results of business analysis and obtain signoff from client on the specifications.
  • Collecting, understanding, and transmitting the business requirements for the project, and translating these into functional specifications and detailed test plans.
