What you'll be doing

  • To develop and deliver of traffic regulation schemes, ensuring that customer requirements are met including budget constraints and timescales.
  • To produce and review design drawings for compliance with sign design legislation and guidance.
  • To establish and build positive customer relationships, with a range of different stakeholders (including Senior Management, Ward Councillors and organisation leaders).
  • To produce comprehensive and robust fee proposals for traffic regulation schemes, and to have an awareness of spend across the lifecycle of the scheme.
  • The creation of project programmes for the fulfilment of traffic regulation, sign design and road safety requirements for schemes.
  • To keep uptodate with developments and best practice within traffic regulation.
  • Embrace learning and development opportunities to maintain and improve skills, knowledge and competence.

  • Support the delivery of CSUK's Sustainability activities

Who we're looking for
We are looking for individual to join our team, prior knowledge of Traffic Regulation is desirable but not required.


Required:


  • The ability to project manage traffic regulation schemes through due processes.
  • Comfortable drafting legal documents documents to a high standard with an eye for detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to liaise clearly and confidently with a range of different stakeholders (including Senior Management, Ward Councillors and organisation leaders).

Desirable:


  • Knowledge of Traffic and Highways legislation (e.g. Road Traffic Regulation Act, Highways Act and TSRGD)
  • An understanding of road safety principles and sign design
  • Degree, preferably Law, Geography or similar, or suitable experience.
