This role is suited to a mid-level compliance professional with 1-3 years experience and a desire to learn, and who has the ability to multi-task and take a pragmatic approach to compliance in a fast-paced commercial environment.

- Responses to customers on access requests and general enquiries, including those relating to the use of cookies.

- Completing assessments relating to data processing activities, for example privacy impact assessments.
- Managing new compliance projects as they emerge.
- Creating new online training modules for relevant compliance areas, delivering face to face training where required and organising awareness raising activity across the business.
- Ensuring Compliance policies are reviewed at the appropriate time, proposing amendments to Policies where required and managing the sign off process.
- Conducting Compliance reviews of contra (business to business) agreement proposals with consideration to data protection, emarketing and antibribery and corruption procedures.
- Data protection elements of a complex advertising technology ecosphere, including changes in global laws and guidance from regulators.
- The development of compliance programmes for jointventures and future acquisitions.
- Monitoring and interpreting changes in global laws that will impact the business and assisting with identifying changes required to achieve compliance, including developing new processes and drafting policies.
- Attending and minuting monthly Data Governance Council meetings.
Required Skills / Experience
- A sound understanding of the principles of risk management and compliance.
- Experience of working in a general compliance role.
- Expertise of UK, European, and ideally global, data protection laws.
- Educated to a degree level or equivalent.
- Proactive, able to work on own initiative, with good organisation and time management skills and happy to work as part of a team.
- Able to effectively communicate with people internally and externally at all levels.
- Accurate, with an eye for detail, and able to meet deadlines.
- An understanding of the applicability of data protection laws to the use of cookies, and their role in the delivery of targeted advertising and the adtech ecosphere, would be desirable.
