Description

Our client, a leading Engineering Company based in Belfast is looking for a Maintenance Fitter to join their team on a short-term contract.

The Contract:
- £14.00 per hour

Temporary contract could be extended depending on workload
Working for a World renowned company
Minimum of 40hour working week possible 12hour shifts
Weekend work involved.

Mechanical Inspection and Repair work on mobile plant including road vehicles, forklift trucks, mobile cranes, dockside & gantry cranes, cherry pickers and scissor lifts.

Mechanical refurbishment of pumps, valves, gearboxes, hydraulic components and dockspecific equipment (capstans/winches / Gates)
Mechanical Inspection, Servicing and Testing of long travel, cross travel, hoist, racking, luffing systems on Dockside / Gantry / EOT cranes.
Mechanical Inspections, Servicing and Testing of brake units on long travel, cross travel, hoist, racking, luffing systems on Dockside / Gantry / EOT cranes.
Diesel engine servicing (road vehicles/forklift trucks/cherry pickers).
Vessel services connection of water supply and cooling discharge hoses to dockside infrastructure and onboard vessels
Interpret Parts Manuals, Schematic Drawings and Parts Lists
Interpret Oral & Written Instructions
Interpret Health & Safety Arrangements
Operate Equipment & Tools e.g., lathes & milling machines
Excellent problemsolving skills.
Good communication skills.

Ideally in possession of,

Use of MEWP/Forklift/Telehandler training
Working at Height training
Confined Space training

Key Interpersonal/Behavioural Skills:

High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work under pressure with mínimal supervision and to tight deadlines
Build good working relationships
