What Is The Role of a Trunking Officer?


Are looking for your next exciting role? If so, NCR have the have the perfect opportunity for you on our team As a Trunking Officer, you will be accountable for the safe and secure movement of cash and valuables between locations.


What are the key accountabilities of a Trunking Officer?
Secure and safe keeping of all cash and valuable assets entrusted to the role:

  • _Branch reported discrepancies._
- _Vehicle audit._
- _Employee covert and overt observations._

Accurate recording and receipting of deliveries and collections:

  • _Signed and completed receipting documentation returned to Team Leader._
Ensure roadworthiness and housekeeping of assigned vehicles, in accordance with the Highway Code and business work instructions:

  • _Completion of Security, operational and vehicle documentation._
- _Vehicle and alarm weekly tests._
- _Completion of daily vehicle and security system checks._

Maintaining personal driving and working hours:

  • _Monthly personal and vehicle downloads._
- _Weekly working hours recorded._
- _Adherence to FTA regulatory requirements for drivers' of goods vehicles._

Maintain Health, Safety, security and loading regulations within your workplace:

  • _Monthly branch managers' self-audit._
- _Branch management teams' daily compliance checks._

Follow prescribed route as directed by branch management team:

  • _Completion of daily route._
- _Cencon audit._
- _GPS tracking._

Maintain personal security standards, retention of SIA and driving licensing:

  • _SIA licensing checks._
- _DP20 mandate checks._
- _Tiger Kidnap training._

Routine and mandatory EDGE training as directed by the business:

  • _Undertaking all relevant mandatory training required._

What would I need to succeed in the Trunking Officer role?

  • Must be able to provide a continuous 10year employment/education/ history (any gaps in employment history must be covered).
  • A valid SIA CIT licence is desirable, however this can also be obtained through our fully funded training programme.
  • A current and full UK driving licence, minimum of Class C entitlement on driving license.
  • CPC training for HGV
  • Flexible approach to working patterns.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team or lone working.
  • Security awareness.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work to deadlines.

As a Trunking Officer, we can offer the following:

  • £37,000.00 per annum (Inclusive of a 4% monthly allowance)
  • Ability to work paid overtime as the business requires.
  • Working pattern will be any 5 days over
  • Annual paid holiday entitlements of:
  • 5 over 7 working pattern
  • 32 days per calendar year (inclusive of 8 public/bank holidays).
