What to expect:


As the Head of Strategic IT Supplier Management, you will report to the Technology Enablement Director, and have accountability for the strategic direction for all Post Office commercial and contract management matters.

You will be an integral part of a high performing team that is focussed on ensuring the best processes are in place for contract management within our IT function as you build and manage relationships with our Technology vendors.


You will directly manage a team of eight that are responsible for roughly 35 contracts as well as an additional 40 for software, with a range of life cycles.

You will build and manage the strategic relationships and tactical, day-to-day management of Technology vendors in addition to personally managing contracts for some of our largest vendors, ensuring that any contractual changes are representative of our commercial interests.

In addition, you will act as a single point of contact for Director level stakeholder engagement.

What you'll need to succeed:


To be successful in this role, you will possess extensive knowledge, and demonstrable experience of contract management (ideally within Technology), negotiating strategies and methodologies within the Public Sector.


In addition, you will possess:

  • Demonstrable experience of navigating complex stakeholder landscapes with the ability to build strong and lasting relationships
  • High levels of attention to detail with experience in creating and presenting high quality Board papers
  • Well versed in identifying contractual and commercial issues and risks whilst making decisions that are commercially sound
  • Technology related Contract Management experience would be of benefit
  • Experience leading and developing a highperforming team with proven experience in mentoring, setting quality standards and governance to enhance ways of working
