    Job summary

    Surrey and Borders NHS Foundation Trust are looking for a full time Mental Health Nurse, Mental Health Practitioner, Social Worker, Senior Clinical Psychologist or Occupational Therapist to expand our Early Help Team working within the North East Hampshire locality. You will need to be registered with your governing body and have CAMHS or relevant Mental Health experience.

    This is a newly created team overseeing the front door to our North East Hampshire Children and Young People's Services, triaging referrals, providing assessments, delivering treatment with both individual and group work being offered to our children, young people and their families. This is an exciting opportunity to help us shape and develop this new team, working closely with our CYPS Community Team (formally CAMHS), as our Getting More Help Team, and part of our i-THRIVE transformation work.

    We are looking for a candidate that shares our enthusiasm, passion and commitment to work alongside colleagues to deliver a good quality timely service to young people and families in North East Hampshire, in collaboration with a strong supportive leadership team

    Main duties of the job

    The role is providing a community based primary mental health service for children and young people as part of our stepped care approach within our Children and Young People's Services (CYPS).You will work with colleagues to offer consultation and advice to primary care workers on all aspects of mental health and wellbeing of children and their families, provide assessments individually and jointly with your Early Help colleagues, and offer a variety of evidence based therapeutic interventions, one to one or group based to those children, young people and their families with mild to moderate needs and to hold a small case load. The role also offers opportunities to deliver formal and informal training and education to all agencies involved with the emotional care of children and young people.
