We are looking for a career driven staff member to join our Primary School in Wimbledon
(London)
and train in all aspects of business financials whilst giving you the opportunity to gain your AAT qualification.**
Apprenticeship - Assistant Accounting (AAT) Level 3
What will the apprentice be doing?
An incredible opportunity to see and experience how a finance team operates across the whole business.
You will be providing support and structure to obtain a professional accountancy qualification whilst gaining knowledge on various aspects of the business.
Holding online interviews on Thursday 3rd August
Potentially starting work on Wednesday 30th August
Working Hours: 35 hours per week, term time plus 5 training days
Hours to be worked between 08:30 and 16:30 Monday to Friday.
Main Duties and Responsibilities - To support the SLT and Governors to work in collaboration to manage the following tasks:
- Administration of the Parent mail payment system used for school food, trips, events etc
- Processing orders via SIMS FMS
- Managing the payment of invoices via BACS, cheque, and procurement card
- Processing sales invoices and credit control
- Managing external lettings (SLAs and invoices)
- Credit control accounts and service invoices
- Generate Purchase orders
Other Duties may include:
- Attend meetings and produce minutes
- Word process documents, filing, photocopying.
- Cover for reception staff.
General:
- To be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection and safeguarding, including PREVENT, health and safety, confidentiality and data protection reporting all concerns to an appropriate person.
- Anything else that the Headteacher might reasonably request or is required to ensure the job is completed.
Systems used:
If you have knowledge/experience using these systems then great but not essential.
